  • regular staff wellbeing survey results are used to make requested and required improvements
  • morning movement initiative include movement breaks for all the children to help them learn throughout the day

The school are most proud of:

"We are really proud of our wellbeing offer to staff and pupils and the way we support children’s behaviour. We have a calm room which children can access throughout the day and it is run by a trauma informed trained member of staff. We have many adults around the school dedicated to supporting children and being there to listen to children when needed, offering check ins with pupils they know are vulnerable.

We introduced the pivotal approach to managing behaviour and always opt for kindness and calmness first. It is always commented on when people visit our school how supportive, calm, and kind our staff are to each other and the children and how we are calm towards the children, despite facing some challenging behaviour."

As a result of working with the Bristol Healthy Schools Programme the school noticed:

"Our wellbeing team has had an impact on staff wellbeing and planned a wonderful mental health week. Working towards this award has highlighted the importance for all staff and pupils to have a say and our wellbeing questionnaire to staff and carrying out the healthy school’s questionnaire for pupils has also given us data we can use to better understand how our children feel and also how to best support staff."

Well done Easton CE Academy, keep up the good work!
