Description

The biggest and most popular free play park in the south of England. The four acre play park is managed by Bristol City Council and includes facilities for all ages from toddlers to teenagers.

Facilities and activities

The play park includes a 12 metre high dome housing a jungle play experience, sand and water play for younger children, large wheels park for skateboarders, in-line skaters and BMX riders, distinct zones with the latest challenging activity equipment, a large central grassed space to run around in, a Café, and seating.

The play garden includes an accessible path, grass events amphitheatre, tunnel through a mound, woodland climbing ropes and slide, balancing beam, rope bridge and towers, telescope lookout deck and lots of grass mounds and space to picnic and safely run around in. The whole garden, which is fenced so as to be dog free, is only accessible through the main play park.

Access

The Hengrove play park is on the site of the former Whitchurch Airfield, alongside Hengrove Leisure Park and Cineworld multiplex, in south Bristol. There's ample free car parking available.

Access is from Hengrove Way (A4174), which is on several major bus routes.
