What sexual health services are available in Bristol and how they can help you.

Yuno Sexual Health 

Yuno is a new, innovative integrated sexual and reproductive health service which launched in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) on 1 April 2025.

Yuno Sexual Health provides free, confidential, and non-judgmental sexual health support for people of all ages across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

Yuno deliver a range of services both in-person and online, via their clinically-supported website.

Services include:

  • STI testing and treatment
  • Contraception and emergency contraception
  • HIV testing and prevention, including Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
  • Pregnancy advice
  • Sexual health advice
  • Free condoms for young people aged 13 to 24

GP surgeries

Your local GP surgery can offer a range of sexual health services. This includes:

  • all forms of contraception, including long-acting reversible contraceptive services such as coil and implant fitting. 
  • emergency contraception 
  • STI testing 
  • pregnancy advice

Pharmacies

If you're under 25 then your local pharmacy may be able to offer you:

  • contraception, including free emergency contraception  
  • chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing 

School nursing service 

School health nuses run weekly drop-in clinics at schools and offer a text messaging support service ChatHealth Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. They can offer support around sexual health and healthy relationships. ChatHealth is also available during school holidays. 

Services and support for people living with HIV in Bristol 

  • Terrence Higgins Trust: one to one health and wellbeing support for people living with HIV, peer support and HIV awareness training. 
  • Brigstowe: HIV peer support across Bristol, HIV awareness raising, tackling HIV stigma. 
  • Children's HIV Association: works to ensure young people living with HIV have the treatment and care, knowledge, understanding, skills and wider support needed to live well and achieve their greatest potential.
  • Fast-Track Cities Bristol: The Bristol Fast-Track City aims to raise the profile of HIV, guide local HIV research, and improve the quality of life for people living with HIV.
